Dr. Kristi Taylor
was born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky (the “Horse Capital of the World”) and has lived in other cities in Kentucky, Florida, and California. She started her nursing career in 2004 at a community hospital in Kentucky as a labor and delivery/ postpartum RN for 5 years, followed by positions as a circulating nurse in the OR in California and Kentucky in outpatient surgery centers. Kristi also worked as an RN in an OB/GYN office in Kentucky, where she decided to move forward in pursuit of her dream to become an advanced nurse practitioner. She became a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner after graduating with a Master of Science in Nursing degree in 2016 from the University of Cincinnati.
Kristi and her family moved to Newport News, Virginia in 2018 where she joined the Center for Women’s Health. She takes great pride in providing compassionate, non-judgmental care to women from all backgrounds and enjoys teaching and working as a team with each patient on their personal healthcare goals. Major interests include prenatal visits, breastfeeding assistance, and well-woman care including contraception and screenings throughout the lifetime. Kristi is married with three daughters, and enjoys the beach, reading, drawing, and world travel, having enjoyed Mexico, England, France, Germany, and Italy so far.
Memberships include NPWH and ASCCP and she is certified in Advanced Fetal Monitoring through AWHONN.
